Robert Durl
Robert Durl's focus in science and teaching has been on the dogmatics of Austrian criminal law since the very beginning of his many years of work at the Department: his work has not only been based on legal history, but also on international comparative law, and has addressed fundamental questions of the so-called General Part of the Criminal Code - in the areas of intertemporal criminal law, the statute of limitations, the doctrine of participation and attempted criminal liability. In addition to his studies on the scope of individual criminal provisions, some of which are monographs aimed at the specialist public, his contributions to the commentary literature and his publications aimed at students, his numerous media contributions on current, real-life events demonstrate his efforts to bring Austrian criminal law closer to the general public.
