Introduction to forensic psychology
As an intersection between psychology and law, the course enables students to study topics such as
- culpability and criminal responsibility,
- testimony psychology and the ability of different groups of people to testify,
- placement in a forensic-therapeutic center or even
- risk and recidivism prognoses
Using historical cases (Breivik, Unterweger, Pistorius, ...) from different perspectives. This interlinking of knowledge areas is intended to prepare students for interdisciplinary practice in everyday court life and the associated challenges.
